ESOL Students Visit Ana G. Mendez University

Students were really excited to see the opportunities and possibilities of pursuing college in a setting that meets their specific needs. After spending the day at the college, students had lunch and enjoyed social time together. Thank you to Mr. Torres, Ms. Tucker, and Mrs. Ramsay for organizing this opportunity.

After School and Saturday Detention
New Era Academy is a Restorative Practices School. Our goal is to reduce suspensions and work with students to take responsibility for negative behaviors. We offer after school detention on Tuesday's, Thursday's and Saturday's. During detention students complete a written reflection task and participate in a restorative circle. It has proven to be extremely effective in improving student behaviors. For more information about detention please contact Mr. Cottman.
