Robotics Is Off To A Great Start
We are pleased to announce that our newly formed Robotics Team participated in their first competition on October 19th. NEA won the first two challenges and placed in the TOP 10. We can still accept new members. Contact Mr. Davis or Ms. Seipert if you are interested in joining the team.
After School Activities & Clubs
We are very excited to announce a variety of after school activities and clubs for the 2019-2020 school year. It is our hope that every student will be able to find something that they are interested in and willing to participate in each week. The following programs are currently available: Game Club, Robotics, Art Club, Baltimore Urban Debate League, ESOL Engish Class, Evening School / Saturday School, Building Steps and Maryland Science Olympiad Team. NEA Is An Uniform School
New Era Academy is an uniform school. Student's should be in uniform each and every day. Student's should be in khaki or black bottoms and black or white shirts. Flip flops, opened toe shoes and/or shower shoes are not permitted. Low cut tops and revealing clothing are not allowed in our school setting. We are asking parent's and student's to partner with us and help to promote this school policy. If any student needs support with purchasing a school uniform, please notify the main office.
Senior Parent Meeting
Calling all parent's of 12th grade student's, please come out for a very important meeting on Tuesday, October 15th. During this time we will discuss student graduation status, attendance, service learning hours, Bridge Projects and senior activities. We will host a morning meeting and an evening meeting. If for some reason you are not able to attend, please call the school and speak with Dr. Austin.
We are pleased to announce that NEA is in the process of forming our Robotics Team. Our new tech savvy robot has arrived and we are very excited to get started. Student's interested in joining the team should see Mr. Davis or Ms. Seipert for more information. The team meets on Thursday's after school.
Uniform Shirts Are Now Available
The school uniforms for this school year are black or khaki bottoms and white or black school shirts. Schools shirts are being sold for $15.00 in the main office. Shirts can also be purchased from Herman's on Greenmount Avenue.
